WELCOME TO MY BLOG PAGE!
At this site you will see and experience life through the eyes of an African American female. You will also have the opportunity to share your experiences and your aspirations. It is my hope that this site will not only served as a sounding board for the trials and tribulations that African-Americans and other minorities, in particular those from a social and economic lower class, but will also serve as a platform to pool our energy and resources to begin a new start of taking control over our lives and destiny. Talk can be very cheap and often leads to no change if it’s just that cheap and empty.
We as African Americans are descendants from strong and resilience forefathers. Many of them have paid with their lives to afford us the limited freedom we now enjoy.
It saddens me to say that nowadays African-Americans are too complacent and easily pacified with crumbs and table scraps that those in power or those believing to be of higher class, Blacks and Whites alike, feel like throwing their way.
You all can change that. Newspapers, television and the media in general will not allow your voice to be heard. But or needs them now that we have the Internet. Thank God for Blogs.
